Los Angeles rockers The Hangmen are playing Madrid’s Wurlitzer Ballroom on December 22. Few bands have had as many ups and downs as these guys. Formed in 1984, The Hangmen emerged from influences such as The Gun Club, Stooges, and Los Angeles’s own X. Their mix of a punk rockabilly, dirty blues, and hard rock, led them to be signed–and dropped–repeatedly by major record labels for over two decades. This last decade though has been good to The Hangmen; now on Acetate Records, the last few LPs have received great reviews. Definitley worth checking these guys out.
