T-Shirts, Dresses, and Vinyl Records at Le Trip

Le Trip

Calle de Manuela Malasaña 24

+34 914 471 716

If you find yourself wandering around, you should meander on over to Manuel Malasaña. This small cobble-stoned street is littered with tons of intriguing small stores, cafes, and bars. One of the shops you’ll encounter here is Le Trip. Upon first impression, Le Trip is a little grunge and not very appealing, but we’ll resort to the best cliché out there that appearances can be deceiving, because that is definitely the case here.

Once you pass the graffiti outside you’ll see it for what it really is- a funky, retro clothing shop with a very chilled-out vibe. It’s cleaner and more organized than other stores, so going through the racks and finding what you’re looking for is an easy and relaxed laid-back experience. Their motto is “cool living under difficult circumstances,” and the atmosphere of the store unquestionably adheres to that with good music playing and cool designs painted on the walls.

They sell t-shirts and retro dresses, as well as vinyl records from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s of all different types of music. The shirts aren’t your basic everyday plain-colored t-shirts; nope, you won’t find the Gap here. Some are concert T’s, others are basic graphic style, and there is even one that says, “I heart Conga”. They are definitely shirts that make a statement and are aimed at a younger crowd. The dresses are not as prominently featured as the t-shirts, but they are a cool feminine addition to a mostly male t-shirt collection. The dresses are very 70’s and come in cool patterns and colors, but there aren’t many sizes.

So if you are in the area, or even it you aren’t, the mix of clothes and the vibe of the store is worth a visit.

Price range;
Records- 5-20 euros
Shirts- 15-20
