Rembrandt, Painter of stories

Now until the 6th of January is a great time to escape to the Prado Museum because of the Rembrandt exhibit. What is wonderful about Rembrandt is that his artwork has the ability spark emotions within. It is easy to fall in love with a painting or understand the story being told without knowing the history of the saints and symbols.
The show exhibits pieces from every phase of his career and includes paintings, sketches and other forms of expression.
Note that the exhibit is not included in the entrance fee. But you can get a substantial reduction if you have a student ID card. Audioguides are available in French, English, Spanish, Italian and German for 3.50 euro; however, they are not essential to enjoy the exhibit. The museum is open 9am-8pm everyday except Monday and tickets may be purchased in advance. Click here for more information.
