Prado Museum: Richard Hamilton
Opening today, March 23rd, at the Museo Nacional del Prado is an exhibit dedicated to British artist Richard Hamilton´s version of the the famous painting, Las Meninas. Hamilton is considered to be one of the founders of Pop-Art and the exhibit takes a look at the process and development of his work Homage toPicasso. In conjunction with his work the museum will display Velázquez’s Las Meninas, Goya´s version and Picasso´s re-creation as well. This is the first time the public has had a chance to view the creative process used by Hamilton and the simultaneous display with three more of the worlds gratest artists should make for an amazing exhibition.
