Prado Museum: Richard Hamilton

Opening today, March 23rd, at the Museo Nacional del Prado is an exhibit dedicated to British artist Richard Hamilton´s version of the the famous painting, Las Meninas.  Hamilton is considered to be one of the founders of Pop-Art and the exhibit takes a look at the process and development of his work Homage toPicasso.  In conjunction with his work the museum will display Velázquez’s Las Meninas, Goya´s version and Picasso´s re-creation as well. This is the first time the public has had a chance to view the creative process used by Hamilton and the simultaneous display with three more of the worlds gratest artists should make for an amazing exhibition.  For more information go here.
