Playing for Change was created by sound engineer Mark Johnson ten years ago in Los Angeles. The idea,  to bring the world together through music. In 2008, with the help of producer Whitney Burditt, Johnson created a documentary of over 100 buskers playing their music from around the globe. The documentary was presented at the Tribeca Film Festival. Johnson and Burditt have now started the Playing for Change Foundation that provides technical resources, instruments, and education to musicians in need. Playing for Change will be coming to Madrid on December 17th at La Caja Magica.  The concert is a fundraiser to help Spanish buskers participating in the project. The tickets are 12 euros and can be bought here.

Playing for Change hit it big with the youtube hit “Stand By Me”. To check it out click here. For more information go here.
