Photography Exhibit: Madrileños. Un Álbum Colectivo
Art & Photography — By MAP on January 4, 2010 3:14 pmEvery so often, there’s a photography exhibition that captures the essence of a place and time through the camera of everyday people. We’re not talking about the studied and famous photographers, we’re talking about anyone who owns a camera and uses it to capture moments. Until January 31st at La Sala de Exposiciones de Canal de Santa Isabel II there is an exhibition of 450 photographs showing daily life in Spain from the eyes of its citizens. In April 2007 the Community of Madrid’s Photographic Archive asked Madrilenos to take part in a project and send in pictures from family albums. e.t.c., taken between 1839 and 2000. All of the photographs were donated. For more information click here.
