When you browse your photo collection, are you disappointed that you don't have a better representation of the city you live in every day? It happens easily enough: when we travel we pay special attention to capturing those particular places while we often ignore our (adopted) hometowns. Well, you now have an opportunity to rectify that situation!

David Sifry, serial entrepreneur, founder of the blog search engine Technorati, and a man with a passion for photography is passing through Madrid and has undertaken organizing a Madrid Photowalk!

Briefly, a photowalk is a group event in which everyone meets at a given point and proceeds more or less together on a predetermined route while taking as many photos as possible. Afterward the photos are usually shared and often compiled and set to music. A great way to hang out with friends and enjoy the city.

Folks will be meeting up in Sol at 10:30 this Saturday morning (the bear). Bring your hangovers and your digital cameras and follow a carefully planned route though the most photogenic parts of Madrid. If you miss the original meeting point you can catch up at 14:00 for lunch at Bazaar or 18:30 for drinks at Juana la loca.
