The Westin Palace Hotel sits directly across from Madrid’s Ritz Hotel, just on the other side of the Neptune fountain. Even though the Ritz is technically a “luxury hotel” and the Palace isn’t, the Palace is, without a doubt, the more famous of the two. If you ask any madrileño for the nicest hotel in the city, they will inevitably point you toward the Palace.

The Palace is every bit as beautiful and elegant as the Ritz. La Rotonda, sitting under a majestic copula, is the hotel’s primary restaurant. However, the hotel is also home to Asia Gallery, a chic Chinese restaurant, and a bar decorated entirely in the classic English style, making the Palace a surprisingly eclectic and worldly place to stay. The Palace also has a beauty/barber shop, fitness center, and solarium.

A standard room at the palace will run you upwards of 500 euros per night, and for those looking to spend significantly more, you can choose from the junior, executive or royal suites.
