Madrid Exhibitions: Jardines de Sabatini
An excellent exhibition is now being held at the beautiful Jardines de Sabatini until the eleventh of July. Old and exotic artifacts are on display, but the theme is not these objects but the science behind them: archeology. The Patrimonio Nacional, Real Academia de la Historia, Museo Nacional del Prado and a list of other instituions have attempted to show how the study of antiquities evolved in the times of the Bourbons, by retelling parts of its history and exemplifying some of the first pieces to be involved in the then new endeavor. General entrance is 9 euros, 3.50 for children, students and seniors. Opening hours are 9:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and until 14:00 p.m. on Sundays.
