Melia Madrid Princesa

by Justine Bayod Espoz

Another first-class Melía hotel
in Madrid is
the Princesa, which is more centrally located than the Melía Castilla. On the periphery of the historic center, the
Princesa is very close to the Oeste
Park
and Plaza
España. Plus a nice bonus in the area
for foreigners is the complex of movie theatres near the hotel, all of which
play subtitled films from around the world, rather than films dubbed in Spanish
as is the case in most cinemas. The hotel
is about 10 minutes from Puerta del Sol via metro. The Princesa is also just blocks away from
Gran Via, Madrid’s
busiest commercial street.

The hotel offers buffet
breakfasts between 7 and 11 AM and has a bar, snack bar and Mediterranean
restaurant called Uno by Dani García.
The gym is free to hotel patrons, but use of the spa, sauna and covered
pool cost extra. The hotel also recently
began offering a new service called The Level.
The Level clients have their own reception counter, breakfast buffet,
appetizers and drinks are included, and several other exclusive services are
offered at no additional cost.
