Kapital Mega Club in Madrid!

Kapital is one of the biggest and most well know clubs in Madrid. It is where hip young euro crowd mix with the notoriously underdressed Americans. Why oh why must we wear flip flops to a club! When will we learn?

With its seven floors however, Kapital has something for everyone.

The first and second floors are electro-house music. We are in Madrid, of course, and house is king. To ensure a proper euro club feel, the music is accompanied by a light show, and beautiful boy and girl dancers. Expect to see a young good looking Spanish crowd and a mix of European tourists as well.

The third and fourth floors are hip/hop and R&B. This area is pretty lively and it is also where you will find the bulk of American tourists. We may be badly dressed but we know how to have a good time. Also, on the third floor if you’ve decided that you have had enough of the dancing and a sufficient amount of alcohol , the good people at Kapital offer a karaoke bar, for you to showcase your inner rock star!

The fifth and sixth floors are closed, for the season. The fifth floor is where you will find Latin/Spanish music, for those of you living in Spain, think Cuarenta Principales. On the sixth floor, movies are shown , because you go to a club …to watch a movie??? Eh? Maybe that’s why it’s closed.

Finally it wouldn’t be a great spot in Madrid with out a terraza. (Terrace) The terraza is situated on the 7th floor, the roof of Kapital. If you get tired of the thronging masses of the club, it provides a great chill out atmosphere. The vibe here is Arabian nights, an oasis from crushing crowds. You can watch the big screen TV, play pool or sit on the couches talk tranquilamente (calmly) with your friends.

Next, how can you to get in to Kapital? You can go straight to the door and pay full price 17 Euros (that includes entrance and your first drink) or you can save a bit and print the flyer from the website. Go to www.grupo-kapital.com and select fiestas, each of the flyers have various discounts.

Once inside, see if you can get to know a PR (Public Relations) they may be able to put you on the guest list or at least give you discount passes.

Kapital is a club that provides a little something for everyone. If you don’t like house music, you can listen to hip-hop, or you can forget the music scene altogether and watch a movie. Bottom line is that the people at Kapitol want everyone from tourists to locals to enjoy the club. Just please leave the flip flops at home!
