Nestled in the heart of Madrid’s primary financial district, the
Melía Castilla is an excellent choice for business travelers. Although it is not in the historic center of
the city, it is in an area with lots of restaurants and stores and with great
access to public transportation. Puerta del Sol, Madrid’s
historic kilometer zero, is only about a 25 minute metro or bus ride away. Football/soccer junkies will be happy to know
that the hotel is also within walking distance from the Real Madrid’s Santiago
Bernabeu stadium.

This enormous, ultra-modern hotel has 916 rooms, a swimming
pool, several stores, a hairdresser, laundromat, car rental service, business
center, and 235 space parking lot. The
Melía Castilla is also known as one of Europe’s
most modern convention centers. It has
4,000 square meters of floor space divided into 23 conference areas and an
auditorium that seats 511 people. The
hotel also offers a buffet for breakfast, a restaurant, café and three
bars. Rooms run between 169 and 239
euros per night.
