Part
part zombie, and totally hip! Holala is a combination vintage /second hand
clothing store that’s much more than just clothing – it’s a lifestyle. It’s one
branch of the Zombie Brand, which includes furniture, a clothing line and a
design studio. In the Holala store itself, everything is for sale: from old 70s-style
TVs and vacuum cleaners, to vintage sofas and, of course, clothes.
The men’s selection in many second hand stores is, let’s just say,
pathetic if not non-existent. In Holala,
however, the men reign supreme! First, the men’s section is in front! Next,
there are many items to choose from at great prices. The second hand clothes
start at around 15 euros offering a great selection of throwback American-style
sportswear including baseball jerseys, basketball jerseys, and sports team
jackets.
If you’re not too keen on second hand clothes but like the vintage look,
check out European designers Cheap Monday and April 77. Or if you are interested in a more updated
look, you can check out the Zombie Clothing Line featured in the store. It’s a mix
of SoCal (
Zombie attitude. Huh?
You’ll have to check it out for yourself! They even offer the very
latest in street fashion: the spray-painted baseball caps, which seem to be everywhere
this summer!
In the women’s selection, not as extensive as the men’s, you can still
find good buys. There are some great 80s vintage tops starting at 20 euros.
Also, they have a good selection of period dresses for theater or for costume
(fancy dress) parties.
Even with the seemingly contradictory selection of clothes, the
collection in Holala still has a consistent theme: it’s an ode to casual dress,
vintage styling and a rock attitude.
So, are you ready to be a part of the Zombie Lifestyle?
