Edith Piaf´s life was often as dramatic, lively and tragic as her music, which is why filmmakers and theater directors alike are pulled in by the singer´s life story. Such a story now comes to Madrid under the direction of Jamie Lloyd and the acting of Elena Roger, who bring the life of France´s most celebrated singer to the stage. The musical will take place in the Nuevo Teatro Alcalá from the 13th of April to the 18th of July, Monday´s and Friday´s at 20:30 p.m., Saturday´s at 19:30 p.m. and 22:30 p.m., and Sunday´s at 19:30 p.m. Tickets can be bought online through El Corte Ingles or by calling 902 488 488, prices range from 25 to 75 euros.

It’s been quite a long time I haven’t seen a performance like Elena Roger do with her Piaf. I went out the theater completely touched by her work. Who say you can’t see a great performance in a big theater production? No wonder why she had the Laurence Olivier’s award.
Also remarcable the rest of the crew suporting her all the time. The music, live, great… Such a great piece of art!!!
