Celebrate Carnaval in Madrid
Festivals — By MAP on February 11, 2010 7:11 pmAs most of you know this weekend is Carnaval and while most of us couldn’t make it to Brazil or even Cadiz, Madrid still knows how to party. Starting on February 12th will be the return of REC, Madrid’s electronic and audiovisual celebration of Carnaval. The event features all-star DJs from around the world and some of the most impressive lighting work you have ever seen. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the event and is sure to be the most extravagant yet. For all the info go here.
Some Carnaval events in the area include:
Circulo de Bellas Artes: CBA is once again putting on their annual celebration of Carnaval with this years theme being “Black & White.” There will be tons of live music and DJ sets and this year the party has been put together by the famous Madrileño artist Ceesepe, for all of the info go here.
Joy Eslava: One of Madrid’s classic nightlife outposts is putting on yet another can’t miss party, go here and print off the flyer for specials on drinks and cover charge.
Independance Club: One of Madrid’s best alternative music scenes is giving away door gifts, holding a costume contest, and bringing in one of Spain’s most well known DJs. To check it out go here.
