Thursday, October 15th, is the opening of Britpop at The Angel. The idea behind the club is to take partygoers on a journey through classical pop music. They’ll be using iPods, CDs, Vinyls, computers, and whatever other resource they can to create the perfect atmosphere. The monthly Britpop night will be every Thursday from 10pm to 5am.
Sunday is the new Friday at Geisha Sunday Tea Dance. The club, which is only open on Sundays from 9pm to 2:30am, is bringing back the days of Shangay Express and Shangay Lily. The music is mostly pop electronic, disco-pop, some house, and the girl bands and boy bands of the day. And included on the menu for the evening are guest djs, themed parties, and live acts.
