MADRID CONCERT LISTINGS

Wurlitzer Ballroom concerts. Located in the heart of Madrid just off of Gran Via,  the Wurlitzer Ballroom offers punk, indy, and garage rock shows + all night dancing.

Boca Del Lobo. Located in Huertas, Boca del Lobo offers live bands and DJs  across a wide range of styles: Garage Rock,  Blues,  Funk, Punk,  Hard Rock, African music, Son, Mambo, Salsa, Brazilian music, Swing, Flamenco, Mexican folk songs, and much more.  Post-concert DJs keep the place pumping.

Cafe Populart. Right in the middle of the lively calle Huertas, Populart is a smoky old school venue that reminds you of big brass band times. Hhere you will find excellent Jazz groups–from big band style to modern jamming–as well as very moody blues. The drinks are expensive but there is no cover charge for the music, an excellent place for anyone who likes this kind of music.

El Juglar. Located in the heart of Lavapies, El Julgar offers concerts from flamenco to punk rock, followed by great DJs spinning soul, funk, hip hop, and classic rock. Great venue for rockers and dancers alike.

BarCo. Mostly jazz bar with great live music that opens till very late in the city center, also has its share of punk, flamenco and DJ oriented nights.

Ritmo y Compas. Offers many metal, hard rock and punk performances from national and international bands, as well as softer rock, cover bands and sometimes even jazz.

Café La Palma. Popular with the international crowd,  Cafe La Palma is a landmark Madrid venue known live concerts and great DJs.

Sala Barracudas. Covered with poster art from wall to wall, this loud and inviting bar is neither too big or too. With a formidable stage, large bar and a downstairs chilling room the includes a pool table, its a great place to check out rock, punk, ska and metal bands.

Gruta 77 Rock ‘n’ Roll Club. Loud and grungy, this is a bar that is dedicated to good rock and keeping the show open until late. Ideal for your rowdy drinking and liberating music, Gruta welcomes bands from all places and statuses: May concerts feature, among others, female Japanese rock group Shonen Knife, ska band Skafeinats and two shows by ex Ramones member Marky Ramone.

El Perro de la Parte de Atras del Coche. Sitting in the center of town, El Perro is the  picture perfect example of an underground bar: descending into the establishment from street level, everything from the industrial décor to the dim lighting assures you that this sprawling hipster venue is the real thing.
