Best Restaurants in Madrid: Restaurante Sobrino de Botin
Spanish — By admin on January 20, 2009 1:00 am
Known as the oldest restaurant in the world, Restaurante Sobrino de Botin has been around since 1725. Not only is the restaurant famous for its age but also it appeared in Hemingway’s The Sun Also Rises. The food at this establishment is fabulous, their specialities are Cochinillo (suckling pig) and roast lamb. Call ahead for a reservation, and if you aren’t claustrophobic ask to sit downstairs in the cellar. And depending on which night you dine – there may be live music.
