Armory From the Royal Spanish Court at the Prado
With “Arte del poder: La Real Armería y el retrato de corte” the Prado Museum has, along with the Royal Armory of Madrid and the Imperial Armory of Vienna, put together an impressive—perhaps the best—exhibit of its kind: portraits, armory and weapons that signified power in European royalty between the 16th and 18th centuries. Included are 35 portraits and 27 armory accessories that serve to attest the power of the Spanish empire at the height of its success. The exhibit will be open Tuesday’s to Sunday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. and will last until May 23rd. General entrance is 10 euros while reduced tickets—seniors, students and children—are 5 euros. For more information click here.
