    I read your article on Gyms in Madrid. Does Urban Fitness offer a daily or a weekly rate? I will be visiting next month and staying on the Calle Gran Via.

    Hey Deana: Urban Fitness offers one day passes for 20 euro, 5 day passes for 60 and 10 days for 100, all classes are included and they don’t expire.

    Let’s get to the real basic basic–
    who are the good shoe repairers by neighborhood? I left two pairs of shoes for “limpiar” with a shop–they ruined one pair by not matching the polish color correctly and neither pair got a proper wax shine. (looked like the cheap quick-dry stuff)

    next, my husband’s dress shirts– does everyone here have a “chica” to do the ironing? in NY there was always an inexpensive (usually Asian) laundry that washed and ironed shirts, boxed’em up, etc. Nothing like that here? and how much does one pay their “chica”?

    I am trying to find a location for a client appreciation event in Madrid (restaurant or bar). Preferrably a location that can accomodate up to 50 people and offer an all inclusive option. However, I am having a few difficulties finding any such locations. Do you have any suggestions? I appreciate your help and direction!
