Crystal Antlers in Madrid

On their way to the big independent music festival, Primevera Sound, in Barcelona, the Crystal Antlers will be making a quick stop at Madrid’s Moby Dick this Thursday, May 28th.  For those of you who won’t be making it to the festival, this is a great opportunity to catch one of the more talked about non-headliner bands in a small venue.  Tickets are a steal at 12€ and can be found at Tic Tac Ticket, FNAC or the Moby Dick ticket office.  For more info on the band click here and for venue and ticket info click here.

El Bosque de las Esculturas

For fans of sculpture or anyone looking to see a really nice exhibition that doesn’t involve the big three museums, the Fundacion Canal just opened “El Bosque de las Esculturas.”  The exhibition is free and runs trough the 26th of July, for the details click here.

At The Prado Museum

The Prado has just opened the doors to its big Summer/post-Bacon exhibition and it promises to be a good one as they have chosen to roll out the carpet for one of Spain’s own, Joaquin Sorolla.  It is one of the biggest exhibitions ever of Sorolla, composed of over 100 of his works pieced together from various sources throughout the world.  If you’re in Madrid for a short time make sure this is something you don’t miss and if you are here for the summer don’t let it slip away. It runs through September 6th.  For more info click here.
